There is no single “right” SRDP decision

The reality is that every veteran’s circumstances are different.
Factors that may influence the decision include:

- Whether you have qualifying service
- Your accepted conditions
- Your family circumstances
- Your age

- Your military superannuation
- Your ability or intention to work
- Your retirement plans
- Your other DVA or government entitlements

An option that is suitable for one veteran may not be suitable for another.

After a long DVA process, it is completely understandable to want the matter finalised.
However, an important long-term financial decision should not be made simply because you are tired of the process.
A little time invested in understanding your options may provide confidence for many years to come.
